Quds Day rallies start in Tehran

International Quds Day demonstrations started in Tehran and other Iranian cities today on the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan.

International Quds Day demonstrations started in Tehran and other Iranian cities today on the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan.

 

The rallies started in Tehran at 10 a.m. with demonstrators chanting pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli slogans along the streets leading to University of Tehran where Friday prayers are set to be held.

 

Iranians unanimously urge liberation of the occupied Palestinian territories and on the Quds day.

 

The rallies are held each year on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan since 1979 when the late founder of the Islamic republic, Imam Khomeini designated the day for supporting the Palestinian nation.
