national resolve

Thousands of people in Tehran joined a funeral procession for the martyrs of a terror attack two days earlier.

 

The Friday event was attended by the heads of Iran’s Executive, Legislative and Judiciary Branches, President Hassan Rouhani, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, and Judiciary Chief Sadeq Amoli-Larijani respectively.

 

Also joining the ceremony were government ministers, and Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammadi-Golpayegani, the head of the office of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

 

Others included foreign ambassadors, and survivors of the Wednesday attacks, who were holding up pictures of the victims.

 

A group of people attending the ceremony affirmed to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) that they would follow the track of the martyrs, adding the terror attack would never dent the resolve of the nation in the fight against the world arrogance.

 

 

University student, Ali Fazli said he join the funeral procession to make it clear that the attack would not dent the resolve of the nation, adding the terrorists could not do a damn thing.

 

 

A 7-year-old sixth grader, Melika Mohammadi said she joined the ceremonies to say to the world that the Iranians would support Islam and the Iranian leader as long as they are alive.

 

 

And, 52-year-old Abas Ali Adabi said the malicious hand of the US and Zionists was apparent in the murdering of Muslims worldwide.

 

The Alim added however that the terror scourge could go nowhere.

 

 

For his part, 7-year-old student Ashkan Salhouqi said he joined the funeral procession so as to express solidarity with the children of those who lost their lives in the terror attacks.

 

 

Also, 30-year-old university student in nursing, Seyyed Fahimeh Hosseini said she had come to renew allegiance to the martyrs "without whose sacrifice there were no security or calm."

 

 

And, university student in English Literature, Ms. Nazari said by such acts of terror, it was meant to intimidate the people, adding however the wave of terrorism would end up in failure.
