Zionist regime stops defiant demolition in al-Quds in fear of regional uprising

Zionist regime's premier Benjamin Netanyahu ordered delay in a plan to demolish the Mugrabi Bridge east of the opccupied al-Quds ('Jerusalem') over fears of protests against the Tel Aviv regime in Egypt and Jordan.

Israeli officials said on Sunday that Netanyahu ordered the regime's municipal authorities installed for the occupied al-Quds to delay the execution of the demolition for an unspecified time, according to Ha'aretz.

The decision to delay the destruction has been made due to fears that it could lead Egyptian protesters in Cairo to express their anger at Israel.

The Islamic Waqf, which is the religious authority that manages the Temple Mount in al-Quds, has held a public campaign against the demolition over the past few days. The religious authority says the destruction of the Mugrabi Bridge is part of an Israeli plan to damage the al-Aqsa Mosque.
