“Al-Aqsa in danger festival 16" starts Friday

The Islamic movement in 1948-occupied Palestine are making the final preparations for the 16th yearly festival "Al-Aqsa in danger" which starts on Friday 14 October 2011.

The festival which is expected to attract tens of thousands of participants will be launched Friday at the Um al-Fahem Municipal Stadium at 5:30 pm, according to announcement made by the Islamic movement.

A number of leading figures in the Islamic movement and other leading figures amongst the 1948-Palestinians will deliver speeches during the festival.

A statement by the Islamic movement said that this year’s festival takes place at a time the Aqsa Mosque is truly surrounded by dangers, morning and night and at a time when attacks on holy places have been on the increase.
