Digging continues south of al-Aqsa Mosque

Zionist regime has been abusing the current muddy conditions to boost its excavation project in al-Aqsa Mosque, a report said Saturday.
Waqf al-Aqsa Institute revealed in a statement received by Qodsna that the Israeli archeological department has opened new excavation projects south of the mosque under a smokescreen caused by the recent Middle East developments.

Another informed source told Qodsna that the Zionist regime had granted financial aid to al-Aad center affiliated to colony dwellers to dig a tunnel south of the mosque.

The Waqf la-Aqsa mosque said the excavation was underway in the left side of the Ain Solwan mosque south of the al-Aqsa Mosque and were aimed to connect the new tunnel to a network of tunnels dug in the Solwan area.

A legal Palestinian institute too announced that the excavation operation was making headway at a maddening speed so that the digging groups supported by the occupying regime or extremist associations were speeding up their work in all directions.

Apart from the new diggings, the occupying regime was seeking to expand presence in the premises and periphery of the mosque by destroying gates of the mosque in order to open the way for their heavy vehicles.
