What are Obama, Brown looking for in Israel?

US presidential candidate Barak Obama and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown have visited Tel Aviv in a week to underline a change of policy on the part of the West towards the regime.

Barak Obama visited Israel during a tour of Middle East countries which is billed mostly of propaganda use and a reflection of the US democrats' policies in the sensitive region.

Obama on the hand seeks to lure the vote of the US Zionist lobby and the American Muslims by showing attention to the Palestinian issue.

Brown for his part visits Israel for the first time since taking office.

The frenzy of visits by Western leaders to Israel comes at time when the regime still licks wounds of back to back defeats in its military and foreign mechanisms and therefore these visits could be interpreted as a moral booster handed by the West to Israel.

The Western leaders are actually renewing their allegiance with the ideology of Zionism amid the regime's stuttering conditions.

They are also note the regime's authorities that the region would no longer tolerate colonial policies and they, including the regime, must respect the regional states in order to have peace of mind.
