Israel stuck in imbroglio

Ehud Olmert who is preparing to resign as Israeli Premiere agreed to release 1500 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for a seized Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit and as a gesture to Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas.

On last Monday, Israel freed 198 prisoners - mostly from the Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas's Fattah party.

However, Zionists describe such moves as humanitarian and green light for Abbas but in fact the move is the result of a trilateral concordance between U.S., Israel and the Palestinian authority.

Releasing Palestinian captives has the following aims:
1- Boosting Abbas against Hamas and Hezbollah
2- Justifying the continued reconciliation trend
3- Propaganda for U.S. compromise project which can also be helpful for the republicans in the U.S. presidential elections campaign
4- Cooling public opinion regarding the Zionist aggressions

The project therefore witnesses to the Israeli defeat against resistance as resistance could force the regime to give some concessions to Abbas.
