Israeli terrorism and legends of resistance

The Zionist regime has recently made it a principle policy to assassinate resistance commanders. The regime touts the unlawful move as a reflection of restoration of its grandeur which was crushed to ground in the course of 33-day war against Lebanon. However, the internal voice of the regime tells another thing, demonstrating a large fear on the part of the Zionist politicians about the trend of developments.

Many of the regime's sympathizers acknowledge that it has made a mistake in launching the wide scale assassination move as there have emerged legends of resistance for the Palestinian nation and other combatant nations following their killings, eventually leading to further weakness of its structure and grandeur.

Every fallen combatant has practically turned into a legend which promotes the sentiment for retribution and a wave of popular resistance. No less resistance was set up by the Palestinian people following the assassination of prominent figures like Abu Jihad, Fathi Shighaghi, Sheikh Ahmad Yasin or Dr. Rantisi. They as symbols of resistance inspired new waves of resistance which dealt heavy blows on the body of the regime.

In Lebanon too the assassination of Sayyed Abbas Mousavi, former Hezbolah secretary general never weakened the building of Hezbollah rather it helped prominent figures like Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to emerge who years later destroyed the military vehicle of the regime. The assassination of Hezbollah Commander Imad Mughniyeh would be wisely interpreted as having the same effects on the Hezbollah structure and the overall regional resistance.
