Why does Israel beat drum of war?

Qods News Agency: An Israeli agenda since occupying Palestine in 1948 has been to create phony enemies as a project to keep its shaky structure afloat.

Hasan Asfoor, ex-minister of the PLO's civil organizations wrote in a piece of comment, titled "War drums in Israel" that since Ehud Barak, the regime's war minister visited Turkey last month, it toned up rhetoric of war against its neighbors.

Israel could not live without creating fake enemies around, the author wrote, adding that in the views of the regime's officials, some enemies should always exist there to face which Israel must be on full alert.

"The theory is that Israel would keep its internal situation always at red and manage the situation under the shadow of the phony enemies," he said.

The ex-minister blamed the style of governing on a state of militarism on the part of the regime's society and officials.

"Speaking about a possible attack on Iran, Syria, Hezbollah or Gaza is an attempt by Tel Aviv to prevent its structure from collapse," Asfoor said.
