Bush aims to press IRI, restore face

Iran's nuclear program and building consensus between Abu Mazen and Israel are the most important aims of Bush ME tour, an expert in international affairs said.

Ahmad Bakhshayeshi Ardestani told Qodsna that the most important aim of U.S. President George W. Bush's tour to Middle East is to exert further pressures against IRI of Iran.

Establishment of entente between Palestinian authority chief Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen)  and Zionist regime is the other aim of Bush's tour to Palestine occupied territories, he said, adding that Bush seeks to continue a process which he started in the Annapolis meeting and put an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Bush tries to recover his damaged face by his efforts for peace, Ardestani added.

Making a trip to Iraq is another likely aim of Bush's tour, he said, adding that Bush wants to visit Iraq to thank his forces involved in occupation.

Bush also tries to increase sales of US weapons to the Arab countries, he added.
