Israel preparing for a potential war

An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs, Dr. Mohtadi describes the goal of Zionist regime's largest drills as to prepare the Zionist society for a possible war.

Mohtadi told Qodsna that the Zionist regime's war minister Ehud Barak was the designer of the military drills, adding the Barak mainly seeks to restore the deterrence image the regime lost in 2006 summer war against Lebanon.

"Barak wants to prepare the army and military forces for any possible attack and improve their morale," he added.

"In previous wars, Israel had fought outside home. In summer 2006 ware however the regime saw the battle for the first time inside its borders which consequently proved the Israeli society could not bear a long battle," Mohtadi said, adding that the regime seeks to prepare its people for a possible war through the drills.

 "It is also possible that the regime gets ready to attack Syria or Lebanon," he added.
