Iranians celebrate 60 years of Palestinian resistance

 

Thousands of Iranians gathered in a square in Tehran named after Palestine to mark the 60th anniversary of occupation of Palestine.
 
In the rally, titled 60 years of resistance, the people commemorated the 60th year of Palestinian resistance and condemned the Zionist regime's crimes and occupation.

On the sideline of the rally, Zein Al-din Al Mpusavi told Qodsna that Tehran's event was carried an important message for the Palestinians that they must continue their efforts to liberate their territories.
 
"I hope the Palestinian revolution will continue and would bear fruit by the effort of the Islamic countries, not least the Islamic Republic of Iran," he said.
 
"Israelis celebrate their 60th anniversary to encourage their people after they were defeated in 2006 in Lebanon."
 
 
Pro-Palestinian Alim: Hezbollah proved Israel's vulnerability
Hezbollah proved vulnerability of the Zionist regime of Israel by its heroic resistance which led to humiliating defeat of the Zionist enemy.
 
"Today we are witnessing destabilization of the Quds occupying regime thanks to the path laid by the late Imam Khomeini and the goal for annihilation of Israel has been met by 50 percent," said leadership representative at the Islamic Revolution Martyrs Foundation here on Thursday on the 60th anniversary of Palestine occupation.
 
Rahimian said, "The late Imam Khomeini had declared Israel should be wiped off the map and now we are almost approaching the point."
 
He said Palestine issue does not belong to the Palestinian nation and the Arab world, rather it concerns whole the world of Islam and Muslims.
 
 
Islamic Jihad leader: May 15, dark spot in human history
Sheikh Nafez Ezzam, a senior leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement described the May 15 occupation of Palestine 60 years ago as a dark page in history, adding that the world stood by watching the homelessness of thousands of Palestinian people on that day.
 
in a televised speech, broadcast live by al-Alam TV network, the prominent Palestinian figure slammed Arab silence over Zionist regime's criminal acts, adding that Arabs were expected to take measures to force the occupiers out of the Palestinian homeland.
 
Ezzam, who was speaking on the sidelines of a ceremony in Iran to mark the 60th anniversary of the occupation of Palestine, said that the Palestinian nation would never forget or relinquish its rights.
 
Ezzam then touched on the deteriorating situation in Gaza, adding that the Gaza residents have trusted on God and relied on the powerful arm of their youths.
 
"Resistance would break the siege," he vowed.
 
Ezzam described the May 15 fabrication of Israel as a catastrophe which changed the region for worse and brought a nation inside the ME which was strange to its history and heritage.
 
Ezzam condemned the presence of superpowers in the Israeli festivals to mark the anniversary, adding that the festivals were part of an American-Zionist project to clamp down on resistance.
 
The ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of the occupation of Palestine was held by NGOs in Iran on Thursday May 15 where plaque of resistance was handed to Abu Osama, Hamas representative in Tehran and Salah Zavavi, Palestinian ambassador to Tehran.
