Ayatollah Khamenei: Unity, absolute priority in Hajj ceremonies

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Khamenei urged the Iranian organizers of the Hajj pilgrimage to consider Islamic harmony as the absolute priority in the ceremony, adding that unity and unanimity is the most acute and immediate need of the world.

Ayatollah Khamenei also called on the host country of the Hajj ceremony (Saudi Arabia) as well as the pilgrims of different countries, including Iran, to avoid contentious issues during the function and undertake a collective responsibility to enhance unity.

The IR Leader described the Hajj as a Divine gift whose international scope has granted the Muslims the opportunity to know each other and review the problems of the world of Islam.

The Islamic Revolution Leader touched on an existing enemy project to incite difference among the Muslims, adding however that the attempt, especially when it is the Islamic System account, has failed to bear any result because of the IRI's efforts to build bridges of unity among Sunni and Shii people.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has offered the largest support to its Sunni brethren in Palestine. It has also backed the Sunni-Shii unity in Iraq. Inside Iran too Shii and Sunni brothers live together in peace and affection," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Ayatollah then urged the Hajj pilgrims and organizers to beware against any enemy conspiracy to disrupt unity.

"The host government too is expected to put to action its stated position for uniting the Muslims and avoiding differences," the Islamic Revolution Leader called on.

In the same regard, Ayatollah Khamenei urged the Iranian pilgrims to observe issues of unity in the Divine ceremony.

"Provocation against religious thoughts and fomentation of discord is a sin. Those who commit these acts are effectively promoting the goal of America and Zionist regime's spy bodies. God will hold them over their acts," Ayatollah Khamenei alerted.

Ayatollah Khamenei then urged the attendants of the Divine ceremony to make the most of the Hajj opportunity for self-discipline.

In the same sphere, Ayatollah Khamenei urged the Iranian operators of the Divine ceremony to assist the Iranian pilgrims by word and deed to make the most of the spiritual blessings of the Divine assignment and at the same time promote a well-advised image of the Iranian nation.

Ayatollah Khamenei recommended all the pilgrims of the House of Allah perform the Hajj rituals deliberately and take care not to let a few minor temporal desires to distract them from the blessings of the great ceremony.
