Palestine, largest tragedy of our time

Austrian director, Robert Hofferer says Hollywood was run by a legion of well-to-do and a bank-supported capital.

Hofferer was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) on the sidelines of a 14^th international festival on anti-occupation resistance in Tehran.

The Austrian director acknowledged that even Hollywood was advancing its project in Hollywood through money.

Asked about the role of pro-resistance films in introducing the global front of resistance to the public opinion, the Austrian director said he was in favor of any resistance against violence and injustice however “most directors favor those movies that sell more.”

Asked about his idea about making a movie on the Palestinian ordeal, the director was positive. “If I find a good topic and feel the appropriate mood, I will make one.”

“The Palestinian ordeal is the largest tragedy of our time. Western intellectuals should revise their attitude towards the Palestinian issue,” he said, adding the intellectuals feel pressure in speaking about the realities on the ground in the occupied Palestine.
