Foreign guests highlight Imam Khomeini’s diplomatic positions (2)

Foreign guests attending the 27th demise anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini in Tehran have talked to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) on the sidelines of the ceremony on the thoughts and diplomatic positions of the late personality.

They touched on the legacy of Imam Khomeini for the Palestinian nation, including his lessons of steadfastness and reliance on their own.

Moroccan intellectual and member of the international committee in support of resistance, Edris Hani said the Palestinian issue run a top agenda in Imam Khomeini's foreign policy.

The Moroccan thinker believed that the Islamic Revolution, led by Imam Khomeini inspired a new resolve in the Palestinian nation against the occupiers, adding the supportive position of the Islamic Revolution towards the Palestinian nation is in place.

In the same regard, Hani touched on the membership of the first Iranian defense minister, Dr. Mostafa Chamran in the Fatah movement prior to the 1979 revolution, adding the followers of Imam Khomeini treaded his line in support of Palestine.

For his part, Kuwaiti thinker, Ali Dashti says the Palestinian issue was the top priority in Imam Khomeini's agenda.

The Kuwaiti thinker touched on the western efforts to demonize Iran, adding however that Imam Khomeini's thoughts remains alive among the regional nations.

Also, Jordanian thinker and researcher of Islamic issues, Sheikh Mohammad al-Abisi said Imam Khomeini started the Islamic Revolution based on justice, humanity, and respect for nations' rights and that his movement largely affected the entire world.

As for the Palestinian issue, al-Abisi said in Imam Khomeini's view, the Palestinian issue serves as a mainstream Islamic issue.

The thinker also appreciated the serving leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei for his pursuit of Imam Khomeini's legacy.

And, Kuwaiti thinker and head of center of Islamic culture in the country, Mohammad al-Jazaf said the Palestinian issue remains as a major issue in pure Islam.

Jazaf said Imam Khomeini pursued the Palestinian issue through an Islamic and human approach and "actually helped the sound of grandeur of nations and Islamic umma reverberate" in the world.
