Arab states should hear voice of current intifada

A senior Iranian diplomat has bemoaned certain Arab states which strive to establish ties with Israel, saying the move would undermine the Palestinian issue as the primary issue of the Muslim community.

Head of the First Department of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Hamidreza Dehqani Poudeh was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna). The department deals with Middle East and North African affairs.

The senior diplomat expressed regret that neighbors of Iran have failed to realize the fact that to sideline the priorities would push the community towards internal schism.

Dehqani touched on the current anti-occupation intifada in the occupied Palestine and said the intifada reflected the Palestinian anger against the Israeli aggressions on the one hand, and the reticence of the Arab world on the other.

“Innocent Palestinian people have grown hopeless about Arab states and most Islamic states; they have thus pushed up their sleeves and taken to the scene,” the diplomat said, referring to the current intifada.

Asked about the Zionist regime’s efforts in boosting terror groups across the Muslim community, Dehqani said the Zionist regime is abusing the internal Muslim schism and boost the terror groups in a bid to create a safe margin for its existence.
