Palestinian resistance reverberating across West

Spanish intellectual, Manuel Galiana Ros says Resistance Movements in Palestine are getting more media repercussion in the west. The intellectual made the remarks while answering Qodsna questions on the latest Palestinian developments. The text of the interview follows.

Qodsna: What are the achievements and gains of the Resistance Movements in Palestine in the past year in the face of the Israeli occupation?

Ros: I think that during this past year, the Resistance Movements in Palestine, are getting more media repercussion in the west, even if that is meaning for them to pay a heavy toll in human lives. In a slow process, more and more people in the west are receiving more accurate news about what is actually happening and is bringing mental discomfort for their western and accommodated minds and style of life

Qodsna: Regarding the worsening of Israel’s situation in the international community and growing waves of protests against Israel during the past year, how do you see the current situation of Israel in terms of economy, diplomacy and security?

Ros: Even if the Israeli lobbies, especially in countries like the US, France Germany and the UK are still very active and very powerful by means of controlling politicians and mainstream media, they are being affected in the three fields you mention above.

On the economic side, the boycott to Israeli products must be having some harming effect, to some degree.

In the diplomatic issue, it is clear that some countries are recognizing or thinking of recognizing the Palestinian State. This is also harmful to them.

On the security side, there is the internal one, with more Palestinian contestation to the attacks and humiliations suffered from the Israeli soldiers and settlers, and from the external side, they have been helping Daesh of course, from the very beginning, but at a point in time, thinks could easily get out of control against them, now that the Syrian conflict, with the Russian support is reverting the situation on the Syrian and Iraqi battle grounds.
