Palestine on agenda of Asian parliaments
Member of the Iranian Parliament's national security commission, Elahm Aminzadeh told Qodsna Monday that the Palestinian issue will be surveyed in this year's Second General Assembly of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).
Aminzadeh noted that the preceding year's APA meeting issued a statement about the rights of the Palestinian nation.
The statement, approved by 40 countries, underlines such rights as the return of refugees as well as staging of a free referendum for the Palestinian nation.
"This year we are seeking to issue two documents in this regard," she said.
The APA meeting opened in Tehran on Monday in the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Iranian parliament speaker Qolam-Ali Haddad-Adel.
Parliament Speakers and representatives from 39 Asian member states are taking part in the two-day conference.
